Hmm...tough choice. I guess these are my 5 favorites (in no particular order)...

North and South of the River
Take You Down (honestly, I like this better than "...Spinning Head")
Happiness is a Warm Gun (me thinks it's one of their best covers...perhaps *the* best)
Luminous Times (Hold on to Love)
2 Shots of , 1 Shot of

EDIT: *slaps self* DOH! I forgot "Always!" Come to think of it, I can't believe I also left off "A Celebration" and "Hallelujah, Here She Comes!" Goodness gracious, U2 has some really awesome B-Sides! In my opinion, you can tell a band's greatness by what they *don't* put on their albums

Wow...only 5?

Um...let's see here...

In no particular order:

1. Love Comes Tumbling
2. Spanish Eyes
3. Luminous Times (Hold On To Love)
4. Trash, Trampoline, and the Party Girl
5. Summer Rain

And that's not counting covers from the 80s B-sides.

1. Lady With a Spinning Head (it pains me to have to call this a B-side)
2. North and South of the River
3. Sattelite of Love
4. Paint It Black
5. Big Girls are Best

I would include these, they ARE b-sides, but remixes so maybe they don't count:

Elevation Biffco Remix
Who's Gonna Ride Your Wild Horses Temple Bar Remix

Luminous Times (Hold On To Love)
Spanish Eyes
Big Girls Are Best
Walk to the Water
Unchained Melody

Honorable mention: Satellite of Love

Is A Celebration really considered a b-side? I thought it was an actual single, but released only in the UK.

I think the 1980-1990 B-Sides are very strong as a whole and often wonder how some of them weren't included on the actual albums....

1. North And South Of The River (Live Omagh version ONLY, not that crap on the Best Of or SATS Single)
2. Lady With The Spinning Head (Extended Dance Mix is a bit more fun)
3. Slow Dancing (just wonderful)
4. Where Did It All Go Wrong (sure, it's throwaway, but I like it)
5. Always (it's a working version of BD, but it's still good)
