The Gibson Explorer is a 1976 reissue, bought in 1976 (when else?). Just thought I'd point that out.

socceroo said:Yeah I would say The Explorer & I have read it was one of his first guitars. Edge is smart enough to use many diff. types of guitars for diff. musical purposes. I think one of the coolest things about Edge is that he plays slide guitar well. He has become very versatile over the years.

the guitar used for aboy, crumbs etc is an epiphone casino. he purchased this guitar prior to the vertigo tour because his old gibson es-335 was one of the guitars damaged in the mentioned flood/storm incident
anybody else know what happend with that stomr/flood? and what other guitars were damaged/destroyed

Gorgeous guitar.
Thanks for clueing me in. I was definitely thinking of the black w/ white pickguard strat. I have one that looks exactly like it! It's a 2004 American Standard Strat though... [/QUOTE
I think the black on black now is a diferent black on black than in the 80's. I believe the original was donated to the Hard rock cafe.
