Toon Zone has more on the upcoming The Batman animated series coming to Kids' WB! and Cartoon Network next season.

According to the deal, Kids' WB! will air the half-hour show on Saturday mornings next fall, with Cartoon Network starting its run some six months later. The Batman looks at the hero in his mid-twenties, when he lives in a bachelor pad surrounded by hyper-modern Bat-gadgets and drives a souped-up Batmobile.

During the series, he'll meet each of the story's famed villains??Penguin, Joker, Catwoman, Riddler and Mr. Freeze??for the first time. U2's The Edge performs the show's theme song.

That crazy Edge...always first to complain about Bono's side projects that take him away from the band; Yet he's the one going out and ditching them for the likes of Adam West, Bruce Wayne, and Batman.

Pretty soon the band will be trying to finish up the last couple tracks for the album, when all of a sudden the Edge will be completley MIA, out for the night recording songs for Spider Man 2, Van Hellsing, and Superman. Rumors will start circulating that The Edge is sleeping around with Wonder Women, and news will soon reach us that The Edge has donated a song to a certain group of people, who will not be named but be described as "Fantastic".

All the while the rest of the band is sitting in the studio, wondering where The Edge is and how they're ever going to finish the album. Yes, things are clearly looking dim for the release date of our boy's next project.
