U2 to webcast concert

U2 are to webcast one of their North American concerts for free.

The gig at University of Notre Dame will be broadcast over the internet on
October 10.

RealNetworks will produce the show.

The company says it plans to install multiple cameras around the stage,
and viewers will be able to pick which angle they want to watch the show
from.

The concert will be available on U2's official website.

European fans will be able to catch a repeat at 9pm (CET) on October 11th. U2.Com registered members can also watch the show on demand for up to seven days after the live webcast.

The webcast is produced in conjunction with Tiscali, who have built a website for the occasion. Tiscali subscribers will have 'exclusive services'.
