U2 Top Nominee For Gibson Awards

(2/14/02, 4 p.m. ET) -- U2 has once again come out on top, this time garnering the most nominations for the 2002 Orville H. Gibson Guitar Awards. The Irish band was tabbed in the category of best guitar band while the Edge made the cut for best rock guitarist and Adam Clayton for best bassist.

Woohoo! Congrats to Edge and Adam. They certainly deserve it.

huhmmmmm foray, Mr Clayton was Gibson 2000 Bass Player of the Year.I was just contemplating his talent in the past hour

I think dear old Orville passed away in 2001(or one of the designers I read about...and Chet Atkins

) so i feel this year's award would be extra nice to win.
