Does anyone else think this place is out of control?

What I want to say is mostly covered by the previous posts. I agree that this board is about U2, and the fans - us.

This forum has been like this for a while(a long long while... ), it will be extremely difficult to change. Can't you remember the 'revolution' a while ago??? I think that most of us didn't like it. I don't think anyone can change the way the board is. But I do agree that some of the threads are simply too repetitive.

sometimes it gets messy, but most of the time it's a nice place.

in general this forum could use more niceness. and more consideration for one another.

Complain all you want. But when it comes down to it, people are not complaining about the 'lack of U2 content'. This entire place is exploding with all the U2 content the world has to offer. The complaining is really that people feel left out while they watch others have lots of fun. It's not my fault that some people don't feel at home. I don't come here to talk U2, I come here to talk to my friends and we sometimes happen to talk about U2. I only get agressive when other people are trying to stop me and my friends from having fun.

BOTTOM LINE: If you're a newbie, you don't know anyone. Thus, you won't have much fun. So make some friends and have a great time, problem solved.

Well, since everyone is coming out of hibernation to reply to this post, I suppose I can add my opinion.
Like some have stated before, this forum is pretty much as good as it gets. Most fan message boards are gonna have their ups and downs. There are going to be periods when there isn't much U2 stuff to comment on and people are gonna start posting some "really dumb shit". I saw this happen at the now defunct @U2 fan message board. The set up for that message board was waaay different than here. Any schmuck could go there and post stuff. They didn't have to register. Because they didn't have to register, they couldn't be banned or prevented from posting any highly inappropriate material. As a result, the board was discontinued because it was infiltrated by a bunch of pro gun folks who didn't agree with U2's stance on gun control. Because of the way things are set up here, you won't have that occur. You should all be glad that you've got some place to go where you can express your opinions about U2. Yes, a lot of the posts are really fuckin stupid, but you don't have to reply. Eventually new threads. will come in and wipe away a lame thread. The mods here are doing the best they can to be fair. Give 'em a break.
Once again, if you don't like this forum, don't let the door hit you in the ass!
