That was a very moving and upsetting read.. a sharp reminder of what happened on that terrible day.

Reading that, and this thread reminded me that 'Peace on Earth' would never be on my traditional list of 'U2 favourites'. However, it's one of those songs that can have a powerful resonance in extreme moments of emotion or tragedy. I remember it being very poignant around 9/11 for example.

For these reasons I find it hard to give it a score out of 10 or compare it to other songs in the way I normally would...it's a different kind of song.
