It says so on the back cover pic that was posted on here....although the actual word acoustic on it was misspelled...

I pre-order through my friend's shop. I'll probably have this friday Nov. 19th. (as I had Pop, All That..., and cd singles on the fridays before actual release date)

I haven't seen it show up on amazon yet--but it is on amazon uk. I've heard it will be in the US but you would think that amazon would have it if it was.

the day this album comes out here in the US, collectors edition or not I'm going straight up to Best Buy to get the best version they have available.

Hopefully they'll have the deluxe limited collectors super-special version, but if not, ill be jsut as happy with the regular one. sorta

One question remains for me. Is this "Collector's edition" that is available on amazon.com the same as the "limited box edition" that was available on Amazon.co.uk and play.com ?

I have ordered the "limited box edition" from play.com and I'd hate it if it was different from the "collector's edition".

it would appear that:

The standard edition is a CD only (~USD 13, GBP10)
The box set is a CD and DVD (~USD18, GBP14)
The limited edition is a CD, DVD and book (~USD25, GBP22)

but the works "deluxe", "box set", "collectors" and "limited edition" seem to be interchangable depending where you go

I guess the trick would be to get the most expensive one !

I had reached a slightly different conclusion than you did. I think the editions are as follows:

Verion 1: Standard CD
8.48 GBP on amazon.co.uk
11.49 $ on amazon.com
8.99 GBP on play.com
http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/B0002W2KRM/
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg.../-/B0006399FS/
http://www.play.com/play247.asp?page...D&title=478271

Version 2: CD + DVD (also called deluxe)
12.99 GBP on amazon.co.uk
24.98$ on amazon.com
9.99 GBP on play.com
http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/B0003V16XQ/
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg.../-/B00068IOWC/
http://www.play.com/play247.asp?page...D&title=478268

Version 3: Collector's or limited edition box set
19.99 GBP on amazon.co.uk
39.98$ on amazon.com
16.99 GBP on play.com
http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/B00030EEOU/
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg.../-/B00068IOWM/
http://www.play.com/play247.asp?page...D&title=478269

It's a bit hard to be sure, the subtle points are the following:

Is the term "box set" supposed to mean just DVD+CD together or does it also imply the special packaging? I would guess it's the second one. I expect the Version 2 to be just a normal CD in a jewel case with a DVD attatched just like they did in the best of. I expect only the Version 3 to be in a special packaging but what I am wondering is whether Version 3 also includes the book of the Collector's edition or there are actually 4 versions of the album, with Version 3 being a simple box set and Version 4 being the Collector's one including the book?
