It's Christmas Eve and Johnny is back in Aron City getting ready to collect a big ol' pile of presents when he discovers that he neglected to mail his and Mama's letters to Santa. Eschewing the efficiency of e-mail, Johnny embarks on a dash to the North Pole to deliver his rather lengthy wish list in person.
Johnny's neighbor Little Suzy joins him on his venture to Santa's lair. Along the way he hitches a ride with a trucker and her niece from France, climbs aboard a rust-bucket plane for the final leg of the trek and even liberates a troupe of circus animals yearning for freedom.
He stops off at a U2 concert, storms on stage and lifts frontman Bono in the air and kidnaps him, and with the help of Bono, Johnny makes it to the North Pole just before Santa revs ups his sleigh. But once he gets there, he realizes that Christmas is about more than raking in the loot. When he returns home to spend Christmas with Mama, it turns out to be his most rewarding Christmas ever.
