Boston or Slane?

The friendliest place on the web for anyone that follows U2.
If you have answers, please help by responding to the unanswered posts.
if the boston dvd had the whole show on it, it would probably be better, because i want to see what it would have been like when the tour came to my town, it would have been nothing like slane.

i prefer slane. and the crowd is way 2 quiet on Boston. personally i think concert dvd's should have a couple of mics 2 pick-up the audience noise

Boston. It has In A Little While. Also an f'n great performance of The Fly. Hard to beat Slane with the AIWIY performance, but if any DVD did, it would be Boston.

i love Boston for Gone, In a Little While, and Stay, but it can't compare with Slane.

All I want is you ---> Where the streets have no name =

Positives for Boston:

The Fly

Gone

I Will Follow

UTEOTW (The Guitar sounded much better than Slane)

The Lighting

The Sense of Urgency with the camera work really got it going

We did'nt have to put up with Pride and One again.

Positives for Slane:

Out Of Control

Desire (How damn cool was the bass line)

All I Want Is You

Kite ( very emotional)

The Band were enjoying themselves immensly

Mysterious Ways (wow factor off the scale)

UTEOTW (The ending perfect)

The Sound (It was far superior..the bass was not distorted like Boston.

All up they are totally different. If you want to hear Adam Slane is the go. I you want to hear the Edge, maybe Boston is better.
One has an awesome performance of The Fly, the other an awesome performance of Mysterious Ways.

I comes down to song selection for me in the end. Also the Sound preference.

For me it's a Tie. They are both as good as each other for me.

Slane
mainly because of AIWIY into Streets. Brought tears to my eyes the first time I saw/heard it and still does.

i agree.
well i didn't get tears but i got these ongoing chills
it was fabulous. this is the only reason why i choose Slane over boston.

what about the electric co !! they played it as soon as the credits came up.

Neither are a patch on the Zoo TV Sydney gig.

Boston doesn't count as a stand alone concert, although their performance of the FLY was great.

Slane was ok, but they edited out a cracking perfromance of mysterious ways for god only knows what reason.

(god being bono in this instance  )
