I guess it sounded better for Bono to say the case was stolen by two groupies, rather than he just forgot it. Doesn't sound like he was too concerned about getting it back either. Maybe Adam was right...Bono "lost" the case because his lyrics were shite.

I guess I shouldn't feel so bad about constantly forgetting stuff then.
I like this part though.

"U2, who were men barely in their 20s at the time, listened intently to their crew and worked hard to put on a good show, Livingston said.

and this one:

Two band members carried Bibles as they mingled.

That would be consistent with numerous published accounts. According to U2 at the End of the World by Bill Flanagan, band members almost dissolved the group in 1981 because they thought being in a rock band conflicted with their Christianity.
