See, now I think of the "Kermit" thing as when he would strain back in the 80s. Now when he sings the "big notes," even the opera stuff, it's nowhere near what I consider the "Kermit" stuff.

Compare Miss Sarajevo to the Kermit voice in the 80s and early 90s, for example the Bullet "in the howling WIND" line in Rattle and Hum.

Miss Sarajevo is just Bono taking the operatic tone to his voice to a new level...it's not his kermit voice really...i'd imagine he uses some of the same technique but the tone is just different..the kermit voice is not the opera voice...the kermit just uses the operatic tone to a certain degree...
