is this downloadable anywhere? or does anyone own this footage that could host on a site.

i'm dying to see it again!

I don't know, but I remember watching it live and feeling goosebumps; first for his acceptance speech for "Zooropa" best alternative album...and then his sinatra speech.
Beutiful.

I remember his speech for Zooropa very well. I was watching with my parents... I thought the speech was great, but my parents turned to me and with a look of dissapointment said "and this is the band you like so much?"

Oh well what are you gonna do?

It was shown on VH-1 before, recently, like in the last year. It was either on "Greatest Grammy Moments" or "Most shocking moments in rock," I can't remember which  I think I taped it, somewhere. Maybe someone here has it on tape? So watch out for either of those shows if you ever hear of them coming on. I'm sure it's on one or the other. Then you can tape it yourself.
