Which U2 song do you think is the best of the respective decade?

'80s - I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For

'90s - One

'00s - Walk On

70s - 11 O'clock Tick Tock (sorry, someone was going to do it at some point)

80s - Running To Stand Still

90s - One

00s - Walk On

Actually, you mean The Silver Lining, which debuted live in August 1979. It was still played live as The Silver Lining in March 1980 and became 11 O'clock Tick Tock at some point over the next two months.

For me:

80s - Where The Streets Have No Name
90s - Acrobat
00s - City Of Blinding Lights

For the 70s, I can't pick between The Fool, Cartoon World, Lost On A Silent Planet, and The Dream Is Over.

80s - The Unforgettable Fire

90s - Until The End Of The World

00s - Walk On (or Mercy, if U2 release it later this decade)

80's - Where The Streets Have No Name

90's - Lemon/Numb/Zooropa - The Holy Trinity

00's - Crumbs From Your Table/Mercy

Everyone talks about the JT trinity or the Achtung baby trinity, but possibly the best would be the Zooropa trinity!

Yeah.. but there's Babyface in between. I wish Zooropa, Numb & Lemon were together on the album. :|

My picks:

80s: Where The Streets Have No Name
90s: One
00s: Walk On/Mercy

80's - One Tree Hill
90's - Miami
00's - Sometimes You Can't Make It On Your Own

70s: Out of Control (early U2 punk-band just out of control and discovering new sounds)

80s: I still haven´t found what I´m looking for (U2 lost in America looking for their soul, as well as a new U2 sound)

90s: Zooropa (U2 back in Europe and discovering a New United Europe)

00s: Miracle Drug (U2 trying to discover the miracle drug that might change Humankinds soul, as well as a new U2 sound)

70s - Out of Control - The song that started it all

80s - Where the Streets Have No Name - a powerfully political, yet beautifully crafted song.

90s - The Fly - A song that epitomizes what U2 sounded like and stood for in the 90s

00s - Beautiful Day - A song of hope and triumph, it is their best song of this century.

80s - Streets or Bad
90s - Ooh... Please, The Fly, or Lemon. Mock me all you want, Lemon = unfuckingbelievable.
00s - Beautiful Day or COBL. I've gained a new appreciation for BD in the past couple unbelievably shitty days; there's so much anguish hidden under it.

I can't choose just one.

80s - Where The Streets Have No Name/A Sort Of Homecoming
90s - Acrobat/Lemon
00s - Love And Peace Or Else/City Of Blinding Lights

Why would anyone mock you?! Most U2 fans love lemon!!!!!!! Me included!

Interesting that nine people have picked mercy as being the best song of the '00s. So why, for goodness sake was it not on bomb?!

Mercy    :hyper:

Technically, i'd say..

80s - WTSHNN, WOWY or ISHFWILF.. both are almost perfect songs
90s - One or UV
00s - BD, WO or SYCMIOYO

Was that decisive or what.
