yeah, glad to see that gone.

North and South of the river for me now..

Same here. Not a very memorable track. There is some crap still on the board, but at least it is relatively creative crap.

There's nothing here that deserves to be called crap.

And how one could listen to that Omagh version of NASOTR and call it unmemorable is beyond me.

I was just listening to the Omagh version today. It's seriously one of my favorite things U2 have ever done.

Not sure what you guys have against Fast Cars. It was by no means the best thing here, but it's a harmless bit of fun and has more going for it than similar tracks - e.g. Party Girl.

Anyway, Two Shots again.

I'm a fan of Fast Cars as well

Very true. There is no crap on the list, as we already got rid of North Star way back when. I was starting to feel territorial, wanting to protect my favs, while eliciting a tribal council sway against NASOTR.

No crap, but Sweetest Thing didn't deserve to make it this far.

(I acknowledge Two Shots is better written. I just don't like the style at all, hence my vote. In terms of what I'd listen to sooner, it's Sweetest Thing, slight though it may be.)

Sweetest Thing 98 mix is one of their best pop songs.

The first time I heard it on the radio I was like WTF as I washed dishes at my first job.

But I grew to love it. Been at weddings where it has been the first dance. Saw it live in 2001.

IALW only wishes it could come close to the gravitational sugary pull of Sweetest Thing

I honestly agree. It doesn't have an enormous amount of depth or anything, but it's really infectious and well-executed for what it is.

Disagree about IALW, though; I love that song.

Anyway, I voted for Hallelujah in a desperate attempt to keep N+S and Two Shots around.

IALW is a dumpster fire. Sweetest Thing is back when the dumpster was brand new and shiny.

Better question with a shorter answer: which 2000s/10s tracks rank above any of these.

Be careful. Bono might get lyric ideas about trash receptacles.

The only album track that goes below the aforementioned listed tracks is Grace.

Stand Up Comedy still has the inside track on a couple of these non-album cuts.

Love Rescue Me . . . Not as many.

Every song here is better than Stuck in a Moment, In a Little While, Peace on Earth, Grace, SYCMIOYO, OOTS, Yahweh, Boots, Stand Up Comedy, Breathe, The Miracle, and Song for Someone.

Then there are some really close calls. I'd take Unknown Caller over Two Shots and Sweetest Thing. Maybe. Not sure.

In the eighties, there are just three album songs worse than anything here: Red Light, Trip, and Love Rescue Me. Perhaps I'd also vote to eliminate 4th of July and MLK before anything else here too, but that would be on the grounds of being too insubstantial to hold their ground rather than an absence of quality.

Namk super sorry I can't get to a laptop again... I'll give my vote to Hallelujah though.

While I can't think of many album tracks I want to slag off other than those already mentioned, I would say there's a good 3 albums worth here of decent quality that I would happily have bought. Pretty impressive.

With kiwilad's vote-in-post(in lieu of being able to get to a laptop), that brings Hallelujah to 5 votes, one ahead of Two Shots/NASOTR.

If kiwilad hadn't voted, I would've voted to break the tie, but since he did, I went ahead and gave my vote to Summer Rain.
