While on the subject of covers, I think some bands should do some U2 covers, but not just any band...

My picks:

Bruce Springsteen - Silver And Gold
Keane - Running To Stand Still

I agree with all you said. Muse could handle UTEOTW perfectly.
I think Brandon Flowers voice would sound really good on Mysterious Ways.
I got into the Strokes recently and I guess they could do some good covers too.
I don't know the Secret Machines so well so I can't talk about that one.
The Smashin Pumpkins doing a cover of Bad I'm sure that would be amazing... I also can imagine them doing Ultraviolet.
I saw Franz Ferdinand live recently and at some points I think they sound a little like the Boy album. Not the lyrics of course but some riffs made me remember the first U2 album. I don't know why... maybe it's just because I see U2 in everything
Gloria by Snow Patrol would be beautiful to listen...

You obviously know little about Radiohead, so you really shouldn't comment. If Radiohead can handle Just, My Iron Lung, Paranoid Android and 2+2=5, then they can certainly handle The Fly.

Of course not ..... Why so many good bands , and just coz some peopl like them , they should try Fly ..... If they really wanted to do a cover , go for Wake Up Dead man .......

In their defense , then , ya know why , coz it doesn't fit , Fly is like completely not their thing ..... Hope you understand what I mean
