Thought-provoking to say the least. Some Led Zep fans may not be happy to see that U2 came out ahead of them. I loved reading the responses below the list and seeing people getting all up in arms because Aerosmith was not on the list!

U2 takes some bashing on there but that is pretty usual....wonder how many of those people that posted on that list even remember what happened in the 70s or if their was a pot smoke filled room where they came from...Aerosmith shouldnt be on the top 10 nor even close to it.

Aerosmith is a fun band, but they are nowhere near the bands in that Top Ten.

I have to say though, they (Aerosmith) do put on a good show...if you like Blues based Hard Rock.

A matter of taste.
I'd say Beatles, Stones, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, The Who, The Clash and Velvet underground would probably deserve top spots, if nothing else for their influence on the music.
To fill up my Top 10 I would add The Doors, and to add some more new bands from the last two decades REM and U2.
