Coldplay = U2 wannabe? They sound nothing like U2 IMO. They are completely unique. U2 and Coldplay may be similar in terms of their brilliance, however musically they are distant and share no similarities.

I like Coldplay (I own their cds) but IMHO they are U2 wannabe because they always try to make an epic sound... ...and in 50% of the cases they don't succeed in making it (apart from Clocks, Everything's not lost and Yellow) .
And at Slane they paled in comparision with U2... ...there's a little difference between a good band and a legendary band... ...U2 are simply a live incendiary band!.
