BITCHES!11:rockon:

it is.

it's not that long ago that i made an appreciation thread for this album. but atyclb can never have enough appreciation threads.

that new kite live arrangement. beautiful art.

Almost a masterpiece. Falls apart a bit on side two, especially with "Wild Honey."

I love wild honey....

nothing better than U2 doing a fun pop song

 Wild Honey is a great little pop song. I'd take it over Trip Through Your Wires on JT, or TTTYAATW on Achtung.

with an awful intro, though. not the guitar, but the moment when the band kicks in and bono starts singing. what were they thinking?

What I like about 'Wild Honey' is it has no pretenses. It's not trying to be a BIG Beatles tune. It is what it is, and what it is a band having fun creating effortless, joyful pop goodness.

exactly!

ATYCLB could have been entirely comprised of camp fire music:

Stuck in a Moment
Walk On
Kite
In a Little While
Wild Honey
Peace on Earth
When I Look at the World
Flower Child
Summer Rain
Smile (I know it's from Bomb, but it's too camp firey to omit!)

Yes, 'Kite' is U2's greatest song since 'Miss Sarajevo', if not 'Stay'.

I want you to know
That you don't need me anymore
I want you to know
You don't need anyone
Or anything at all

Who's to say where the wind will take you
Who's to say what it is will break you
I don't know
Which way the wind will blow

Who's to know when the time has come around
Don't want to see you cry
I know that this is not goodbye

beautiful
