"All along the watchtower" rocks!

U2's cover of "All along the watchtower" in the Lovetown documentary is even better than Hendrix's version. Now why couldn't they come up with it in time for Rattle and Hum!

New years Day 1990 concert version kicks TOTAL ass!! Infinitely better than the R&H version. Bono's voice is incredibly powerful (and the wind begins to hoooooooooowl - love that part), and Edge has one of those awe-inspiring solos to boot.

Last year, a week before I turned 40, I found myself dancing to All Along The Watch Tower in the small town where I attended (an totally relished)high school. Guess who was playing it live?.......Bob Dylan!!!
