yes, of course. abolsute no problem. this would be very helpful cause i'm

it seems that some people don't know who i am and so they treat my review as
a review of a jerk, cause i rated it weak. i mean... i'm aware about the
fact that i listened only one time to the album. but i'm honestly trusting
in myself when saying, that i've never been that disappointed from the first
listening to an u2 album like i was on monday. i went to that presentation
very open minded. i think this is very important, cause i hate it when
people go there expecting JT part II or AB part II. no... i expected that my
most loved band will surprise me again. yes, they did actually... but not
positive in anyway. my bad rating is mainly created by bono's bad vocals.
songs like "all because of you" to me sound honestly like he must have been
drunken. and if they call thier album - like always - as their "best ever"
or "their strongest" i have to say: it's definately not. to be honest: from
the first listening i have to say it's their weakest. and i think that's how
people should interpretate my review. it was a review from the first
listening and not a review of an album which i've heard 6 months.
the songs don't touch me (with the exception of two or three) and edge's
acoustic guitar suckz. i have at least expected that there are more cool
electric guitars. no more boring b-stage songs where everyone puts out his
zippo! those songs to me sound comparable to what they sometimes do live
when they play some songs spontaneous. that's who they sounded to me.
don't worry... if i will like that album after listening to it a while i
will surely speak it out clearly that my first impression was wrong. i'm not
that weak that i wouldn't be tough enough to say that i was wrong.
so here are my ratings now:
boy = 7/10
october = 7/10
war = 9/10
unforgettable fire = 8/10
der joshua baum = 10/10
rattle and hum = 8/10
achtung baby = 11/10 (the über-album)
zooropa = 7/10
(passengers = 7/10)
pop = 7/10
atyclb = 8/10
btw... yes, i did like achtung baby from its first minute! so don't tell me:
"it's a grower! you need to listen to it like i had to on achtung baby!". of
course i will... but from my first impression it's just 3 out of 10!
this guy "vertigone" obviously hasn't understood how i came to the result of
3/10. the reason can be seen in maths and statistics. if you use the
arithmetic results you won't be able to bring in things like the overall
context plus for instance the arrangement of the songs on the album. by just
adding the points and dividing them through their number you would loose
that kind of information in your rating. this explains the 3 out of 10.
cause: i didn't like the tracklist either.
feel free to quote my complete mail, if you want. i would be happy if you
could post it there.
btw, could someone please explain me why i'm called a terrorist on
interference.com? i mean... those people there seem to be not slightly dumb,
they seem to be really dumb! sorry... but that's the only thing i can say
about that. :-(
