i love the bassline on 40. now i read somewhere that adam wasn't available when 40 was being recorded, so edge played both guitar and bass in the album version of 40. so does anybody know if it was edge or adam who came up with the bassline for 40?
does anyone know why adam and edge switch instruments for live versions of 40?
i'm listening to 40 from Vertigo tour. now near the end of the guitar part of 40 (right before it is only bass and drums) is when you can actually hear music from the guitar. for the majority of the song, the guitar is not part of, i think. but this guitar line at the end of the guitar part, right b4 adam leaves the stage, this guitar line is awesome! does anyone know what i'm talking about. in the NJ1 bootleg, this guitar line appears at around 5:12.
