Yes, they did. Of course, for some people nothing they come up with on the 00s albums won't cut it.

I loved 00´s they introduced me to U2 especially elevation!!!!!!

I completely agree with this post. My interest reignited during the Elevation tour. I wish I would've been into them during the 90s but I was into a different style of music at the time.
Besides, with a band like U2, its fun to discover 25 years worth of music and see how they've evolved.
