Favorites, because I don't really like actors..

Guys:
Adrien Brody
Zach Braff
Peter Sarsgaard
Christian Bale
Ewan Mcgregor

Girls:
Emily Watson
Cate Blanchett
Kate Winslet
Renee Zelly
Nicole Kidman

I don't know if I can come up with 5 each, but let me try:

Actors:

1) Jude Law
2) Orson Welles
3) Daniel Day Lewis
4) Robert De Niro
5) Al Pacino

Actresses:

1) Audrey Tautou (a.k.a., "the one from Amelie")
2) Amy Sedaris (!)
3) Chloe Sevigny
4) Juliette Binoche
5) Kate Winslet

That was very difficult finding actors I liked, although Jude Law was the first that came to mind for me. As for the actresses, I could come up with a list of 10 or more off-hand.

Tom Hanks?

Why hasn't anyone given this generation's Jimmy Stewart any recognition. Damn, he eclispes almost every other actor out there. Plus he's a well rounded, decent guy.

Jennifer Anniston?

Hottest actress EVER! And talented beyond words.

tom hanks is good, but i guess hes not so much in my 'genre' whatever that may be, he can play any character well no doubt. deniro, ford, gibson, theyre good too but they seem like theyre the classic staples of people magazine.
for some reason i dont seem to notice actresses so much i mean other than the typical julia roberts, meg ryan, sandra bullock... i need to watch movies more carefully now. monica belluci is damn good, ive seen her in foreign films.

Hmmmm. I guess you can't expect anything less from someone who counts James Spader as a top five actor.

Oh Yeah:scratch: James who? Right....."White Palace" with Susan Sarandon.

He's sooooooooooooooo good.

What a joke!

Tom Hanks has given so many top calibre performances, in more than a few essential films of the past century. Philadelphia? Forrest Gump? Saving Private Ryan? Castaway? The Green Mile? The Terminal? Not like he's won any awards for his effort either.

Please.

Vincent Price
Colm Meany
Marlon Brando
Johnny Depp
Ewan macgregor

I have to throw in another one, if you ever saw Danny Devito in his non comedy role in a drama called " Jack the bear". He reminds he of my Dad, mr Baw in that movie bringing us up as kids and getting flack from my Moms side of the family.

James Spader - The Secretary, Crash, Sex Lies and Videotape, Less than Zero.

An actor with vision and talent unlike loser Hanks.
Why don't you mention some good Hanks performances as all the ones you mentioned were crap?

Oh dear, I've only just noticed that you selected Tom Hanks and Aniston. I didn't mean it against you personally, genuinely. Anyway I do hope you getter better soon and maybe watch some decent films.
