Post Beatles, what are the 7 finest songs they did afterwards?

Once again, George Harrison I'm partial too:

1) My Sweet Lord
2) Band on the Run
3) Imagine
4) Instant Karma
5) Live and Let Die
6) Maybe I'm Amazed
7) Uncle Albert, Admiral Halsey

note: that last one was sarcasm.

LMAO....sorta figured that one out!!! I didn't include many George songs, but in all reality, he was a very talented songwriter and it's too bad he wasn't able to contribute more in that area to The Beatles.

Imagine
Beautiful Boy
Watching the Wheels
Got my mind Set on You
Jealous Guy
Band on the Run
There is some really good Traveling Wilbury Stuff and Wings stuff. My mind is fried So I'll have to think about it later.

when i was little, i always thought "i've got my mind set on you" was him actually saying "wake up, i might sit on you".

:lmao:

it's stuff like that that would have scared my from listening to certain songs for ever. bowie scared the hell out of me when i saw labyrinth when i was 8, and he creeps me out to this day.

paul mccartney - band on the run
george harrison - pisces fish
george harrison - what is life
john lennon - imagine
there's another john lennon song i really want to name, but can't remember at the moment.
paul mccartney...something off flaming pie. as sappy as the majority of that record is, i still like it
hmm. that's 6...7 is going to have to be another george harrison song. haven't settle on what yet...

sure each solo career never matched the beatles, but coming up with 7 songs for 4 (well 3 going by my list  i've got nothing aginast ringo, i swear) people is still actually proving to be more diffficult.

Anyone who doesn't like "Calico Skies" sucks.

No way I can summarize a ten-year solo career and three thirty-year solo careers in seven songs, though.

Imagine
Instant Karma
All Things Must Pass
What Is Life
Band on the Run
Maybe I'm Amazed
Handle with Care

Oh! Great idea.

1. Instant Karma!
2. Jealous Guy
3. Mind Games
4. Love
5. God (Part I!)
6. Remember
7. Woman Is The ****** Of The World

It's all John Lennon, but McCartney is boring anyway.

wasn't that with the beatles? I know it's on the Greatest Hits album...

It was. Their last ever single I believe.

3. "Instant Karma!(We All Shine On)" - John Lennon

4. "Working Class Hero" - John Lennon

6. "Maybe I'm Amazed" - Paul McCartney

Gimme Some Truth(JL)

Band on The Run(PM)
Instant Karma(JL)
I Found Out (JL)

1. Working Class Hero - John Lennon
2. Uncle Albert/Admiral Halsey - Paul McCartney
3. Happy Xmas - John Lennon
4. Photograph - Ringo Starr
5. Ram On - Paul McCartney
6. Jealous Guy - John Lennon
7. Something by George Harrison (NOT My Sweet Lord!!!)

George did "Something" with the Beatles. It's on Abbey Road, you goof.

Good call on "Photograph," though.

LOL that is classic!

I love the Beatles> Paul McCartney is amazing! Going to see him in concert this October! Woot!

anyway here it goes....

John- "Woman" "Imagine" " Give Peace a chance"

George - "Apple Scruffs" "I've got my mind set on you"

Ringo - I haven't followed him at all

Paul- "Maybe I'm Amazed", "My Love", "Band on the Run" ,"Let Me Roll It", "Calico Skies" , "Beautiful Night" , "Hi Hi Hi" , "The Song we Were Singing" "Somedays" ...shall I go on! LOL

1. Jealous Guy (Lennon)
2. Imagine (Lennon)
3. Watching the Wheels (Lennon)
4. Mother (Lennon)
5. Let it Down (Harrison)
6. All Things Must Pass (Harrison)
7. Isn't it a Pity (Harrison)

I actually like some of McCartney's solo stuff, but I can't think of a solo McCartney song that I like more than these 7 songs!
