Where's the Charlie and the Chocolate Factory hype??!

I haven't seen any threads about this movie, so here we are. I had my doubts at first, but so far the reviews have been surprisingly positive ( http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/charlie_and_the_chocolate_factory/ )

Anyone here going opening day? I hope to see it Friday night with a group of friends, but I'll be working so I might not be able to make it. But I'll certainly have seen it by the weekend's end!
