Where are you reading it?

www.astrology.com will do a great free reading, but they don't take into specifics unless you pay them, so it may be a bit generic. (Meaning they'll only analyze your sun sign really.) They have some fun features where you can match signs- but again, generic so don't take it to heart if it says about being w/ someone.

I have this awesome book which explains everything you'd ever need to know about Astrology, including planets origins, how it relates to world events, and of course all the small personal tidbits including how each planet influences you, your ascendant, the houses & more. It's called The Only Astrology Book You'll Ever Need.

As far as looking up Ascendants, the first site I mentiond doesn't go into Ascendants (w/o a fee I presume) but I found some okay stuff on www.astrologyfun.com and www.astrologycom.com
