Legend by Bob Marley is also another great one mentioned.

The Bends? :eyebrow: You people are on a serious LP7 anticipation high! An absolute masterpiece, but light, breezy, carefree, sunny??? These are not adjectives I would ever use to describe The Bends or Radiohead in general. I'm sorry my friends, but that's some pretty weighty shit there. summer bends.

I was going to say Reveal too.

Listening to it takes me back to the summer of 2001 everytime.

Also as much as Reveal is a summer album, REM's previous release UP is a very winter album IMO.

Any 1 of the first 3 Journey albums with Perry ... 'Infinity', 'Evolution' or 'Departure'.

These are definitely albums to hear during the summer than any other time of the year !!

Wilco is working for me now, Elvis Costello (Blood and Chocolate) as did Cream (Gears), and of course the Shins (anything).

My current favorite summer albums:

Their whole sound is summer-y IMO.

Because every song sounds the same.

Here's one that pretty much defined summer 05 for me:

I don't know. That's pretty much like the generalization people make when they say U2 always sounds the same with Edge's chiming guitar. But we know it's not so always.

What album cover did you post there?

Btw, your elephant is cracking me up!

Creedence Clearwater Revival is a good shout
most of John Foggerty's work smells like summer

to me, nothing says summer like the cars...
maybe because you just get the urge to go drivin' with the tunes blastin'

Don't feel too bad LMP, you're only mainstream among the music nerds at last.fm.

A few more:

Pulp%20-%20Different%20Class.jpg

If only I knew how to do the "iPod info on Last.fm" thing, my mainstream meter would be down about 5666778.97%

perfect for summer:up:

can't beat...planet telex, high and dry, fake plastic trees, nice dream, just...

The Bends has this perfect "sunny
+ summer" vibe to me...

I echo this very sentiment.

For some obscure reason, The Bends has always defined summer for me.
