I tuned in at about 12:41 and watched til he went to commercial at 12:53. He was telling stories and stuff. You could see he was choked up at times. And at the end with the fist to his heart. I cried

Well I missed it, but thanks for the update. Just reading what you saw, Lila, makes me want to shed a tear. This has really been a busy month for celebrity deaths. Very sad losses for so early in the year, let alone for anytime.

Reviving this thread! I've been infatuated with Craig Ferguson lately! I had no idea the number of movies he's been in or the books he's written. I've been watching his show faithfully for several weeks now, and caught up on a lot of his show videos on the Internets. Such a funny guy and I really like his style in that he is sensitive to the feelings of others and refuses to make fun of certain stars, etc.

As Lila posts the weekly lineup for Letterman's show, I will post the weekly lineup for Craig's show. For this week:

Monday, April 28
Ewan McGregor (Deception)
Morrissey (CD, "Greatest Hits")

Tuesday, April 29
Kathy Griffin (My Life On The D List)
Morrissey (CD, "Greatest Hits")

Wednesday, April 30
Jeff Bridges (Iron Man)
Valerie Edmond (Made of Honor)
Grand Archives (CD, "Grand Archives")

Thursday, May 1
Helen Hunt (Then She Found Me)

Friday, May 2

Craig also did an exceptional job entertaining at Washington D.C.'s most prestigious event, the annual White House Correspondents Dinner, held last night (Apr 26) which was televised on C-SPAN.

This week's guests include:

Monday, May 5
Hugh Laurie (House)
Michael Starr (Book, "Hiding In Plain Site: The Secret Life of Raymond Burr")

Tuesday, May 6
John Goodman (Speed Racer)
Jason Aldean (CD, "Relentless")

Wednesday, May 7

Mike Doughty (CD, "Golden Delicious")

Thursday, May 8

Christopher Gorham (Ugly Betty)

awesome, I've caught Hugh Laurie on there a couple times and it's always been hilarious!

and i'll very happy when Conan moves up to the 11:30 slot so that I won't have to choose between them, because they're both my 2 favorite late night hosts, Craig has the funniest, most random monologes on late night, I prefer Conan's skits (it's obvious who ahs the bigger budget), and Conan tends to have the better guests.\

anywho, here's a great video of Craig being a guest on Conan......obviously before he was the late night host.

His father died yesterday in Scotland. Craig decided to do the show today anyway.
The opening monologue was incredibly moving...
Anyway, i'm in awe that he chose to come on tv during this difficult time.

Sorry to say I missed this. I quite like Craig Ferguson. He's very refreshing after the formulaic zaniness that is Conan.

You can find TONS of Craig Ferguson video on his website or on You Tube including the speech about when he lost his father. I love Craig Ferguson, his show is so different like Chelsea Handler's show Chelsea Lately, I watch them both faithfully just for something different!
