Ok...so what do YOU think are the 10 most influential albums EVER! These albums helped form the basis of today's music - what do you think they are!

Mine in no particular order

3 The White album - The Beatles
4 Elvis Presley - Elvis Presley
5 Joshua Tree - U2
6 Highway 61 - Bob Dylan
7 Thriller - Michael Jackson
8 What's going on - Marvin Gaye
9 Straight outta compton - NWA
10 Blues breakers - John Mayall with Eric Clapton
 
I'm not really mentioning the 10 most influential albums ever for the whole music scene, but these 10 were the most influential for me. Also, in no particular order:

Nirvana - Unplugged in New York (Because this band got me into playing guitar)

this is probably the most accurate list, although I think you've gotta list "Bitches Brew" by Miles Davis, Led Zeppelin 4, and "Are You Experienced" by Hendrix in there somehow.

But it is because pretty much any songwriter since that album has somehow had Lou Reed's influence on them.

Haha... hey, I'm not an HTDAAB basher. I just don't see how a relatively new and U2-by-numbers album like this one could be so influential. But to each his own.

How long as X&Y been out for? About 2 months or something? So in that time it has become one of your top ten most influential albums? I suppose I could say the same about HTDAAB. Has that album really been out long enough to play that big a part in your life?
