Not a big hockey fan, I take it?

I'd lost interest over the past couple of years but recently started watching again.

I'm debating whether or not I want to buy Snow Patrol tickets for August. I've seen them twice in the past year and the place they're playing is kind of out of the way and it's on a Monday night.

Plus, I want to see when Tori Amos is coming, since I've never seen her and would love to go. :hmm:

I've always WANTED to be into Hockey...but there's just so little to really enthuse me into watching it...

Class is almost over :hyper:

No more corrupt popes and Monks :hyper:
Though learning about the "Pornocracy" was interesting.

snow - I wouldn't have minded if you had said it sucked before I did. :) I'll be the first to admit that the Canucks were blowing monkey chunks instead of playing good hockey.

LMPA - yeah, they lost 5-1. I turned it off when we were down 3-1. It was pretty pitiful. :tsk: Oh well. At least it was only the first game. There's still several more opportunities to make up for last night. Glad your day is going fast! I love days like that. What's up for you on Saturday?

The contractor just left to pick up some stuff. I'm warped. I have this WASP-ish guilt where I can't let him see me fritter my time away chatting or playing games, so I've been working. Which is good in the grand scheme of things, just a really weird thing to motivate one to work.

I'm the same way, VP. If my landlord comes to fix anything, or if there are other service people in my house, I definitely can't be just lazing around. It makes me feel guilty too, so I usually end up doing something productive or smart-looking to make myself feel more comfortable.

Likewise, VP!

I don't know why I feel guilty about watching TV or messing about on the internet when those types of people are there. We should psychoanalyze ourselves! :hmm: There's gotta be an explanation...

I think it's some sort of guilt - the need for others to think we're productive at all times. This man has no effect on my life whatsoever. Why should I care what he thinks of me? I shouldn't. But I apparently do. :reject:

April, what type of therapy would you prefer? Freudian psychoanalysis, that delves into your unconscious and resolves deep-seated conflicts from your past, or something more modern? :hmm:

That sounds about right. I have way too much guilt in my life. And I care too damn much.

Oh, me too. I think guilt is much more common to females than males. We have to be the best at everything, and we're people-pleasers. I think that a bit of guilt can be healthy, it spurs us on, but when we can't live up to unreasonably high expectations we have of ourselves, it can result in real problems.

The learning never stops ladies.

Apparently "why are you such a bitch, is it really that entertaining?" is a rhetorical question. Responses are actually not appreciated :D

I totally agree. I've definitely had unreasonably high expectations of myself in the past.

Is it lunch time yet?! I'm so hungry!
