Uh, I was kidding flybabe...it was more of that 'humor' thing that I thought I was good at, but apparently I'm not...

I'm crushed...:sigh:

Eh, g'night flybabe!!

Reggie, these days, I make sure I throw at least 2-3x before my first practice. Light tosses, maybe 5-10 minutes worth. If I don't, I'll kill my arm and it'll take a while for it to get back to full strength.

Did you guys win last night? How'd you do? What position do you play?

I have a light practice this weekend, looking forward to it.

I'm too big of a dork to be miserable. Bastard, though, sure, that's me.

Now you've scared the last girl in the bar off.

Time to turn on some sports

Hey NSW, I'm sure I've asked you this question before, but do you know where in the rink our seats are for the hockey game?

ETA: You both play baseball?

Yeah my team is pretty damn good. We kicked some ass, like 17-8 or something like that.

Let's see I'm a utility guy anymore, I play 1st, 2nd and roam the outfield. In my younger days, when I could throw and cover the infield I played short. We all take turns a catcher too, so add that in too.

Hey, I've gotta run...reading Koufax: A Lefty's Legacy

Peace out bro!!

Dave, you have asked me before, actually. My answer is the same, actually: We'll find out when I get the tickets from will call, I'm really not sure. All free seats are good seats, though, Dave.

We're talking about softball, Dave.

:reject:

My bad, I'd forgotten. And I agree, we could be in the top row for all I care, I'd never be able to go otherwise.

That also means I owe you my thanks, and drinks. Many of them.:drunk:

My uncle plays senior league mushball in New Brunswick, and my grandpa has been an ump for local softball (again in NB) since the 50's.

You don't owe me squat, it's my pleasure. Buy me a pretzel from a street vendor, if you must buy me something. :)

My Grandpa played minor league ball, and my Dad played college ball. I'm the first male in my family for ages that is not really great at sports. I'm a decent athlete, at best. But I, play a lot of different sports and always compete my ass off! :)

How old are your Uncle and Grandpa?

Hello Thora.

Hey NSW

I should really look into playing more sports. I really enjoy playing baseball, but I probably suck at it.

Who cares if you "suck"? It's not like you're looking to play Major League Baseball or anything like that. If you really want to play more sports, you ought to. I play a lot less than I used to, my knees are all jacked up and it makes it hard. I miss it.

True. Maybe I'll look into it once the weather gets a bit nicer. I do enough to keep in shape, but it would be fun to play baseball or soccer, etc.

My uncle actually might not play anymore, come to think of it. I'm not sure exactly how old he is, but he's in his early 40's. I definitely know he played last season, his team came to town for a tournament and ended up at the casino at 4 am when they had a game an hour's drive away at 9:30!

I have no idea how good he is/was, except I remember reading a newspaper clipping on his fridge a few years back where he hit six homeruns in a 10-0 win during some tournament.

My uncle is in his mid-70s now...he started in the early 50's as a teenager and has just stuck with it because he loves it so much. He does junior baseball (late teens) and a bit of senior softball in NB.

He might have to give it up after this season though...his heart isn't in very good shape anymore, and he says his arthritis makes it tough to be a home plate ump anymore, what with all the squatting and up-and-down. :(
