Alright; here's a mix I've been contemplating for a long time now.

We've all heard these songs; the ones which are probably meant to be sweet but which veer onto the disturbing, obsessive side of love. Such as 'Escape' by Enrique Iglesias (You can run, you can hide, But you can't escape my love)

and then those which are overtly, obviously a bit twisted like 'Every breath you take' by the Police

My husband has also suggested the song 'So Cold' by Breaking Benjamin.

Anyone else have any suggestions for this theme?

How about one from the legendary Cole Porter? It's called Night and Day. You all may have heard of it...

I remember Bono talking about how he wanted to emphasize the obsessive nature of the lyrics, and record the song to make it sound more menacing. His vocal sells that idea big time. I think their Red Hot & Blue version is amazing (the remix on the One single is damned good as well).

NIGHT AND DAY

Like the beat, beat, beat of the tom-tom
When the evening shadows fall,
Like the tick, tick, tock of the stately clock
As it stands against the wall,
Like the drip, drip, drip of the raindrops
When the summer shower is through,
So a voice within me keeps repeating,
"You. You. You."
Night and Day, you are the one;
Only you beneath the moon and under the sun.
Whether near to me or far,
It's no matter, darling, where you are.
I think of you, Night and Day.

Day and Night, why is it so
That this longing for you follows wherever I go?
In the roaring traffic's boom
In the silence of my lonely room,
I think of you, Night and Day.

Night and Day, under the hide of me,
There's an oh-so-hungry yearning burning inside of me.
And it's torment won't be through
'Til you let me spend my life making love to you,
Day and Night, Night and Day.

perfection.
