No, they go and do field trial's and I get to look at their reports and edit them. Then I put together the submission (based on the KISS principle) and hopefully the company gets approval for a new drug or chemical or whatever.

It's a pretty cool job. I get to do lots of different things everyday, I work for myself and so I can head off to the beach when I feel like it (or, more likely, end up here) and I get reasonable money. The only issue is the administration side of things.

I'm on sabbatical this semester--it's the only way I'm able to pull it off. I'm going to have to cancel class twice in the fall for gigs in Houston and Atlanta.
