I did all right with one of the websites I looked at. One of my friends--actually another Interferencer, zoney!--works for an airline, and so I've been meaning to call him and ask him for some tips about times to travel and such. If he doesn't have any creative cost-cutting ideas for me beyond what I've already done, I'm just going to suck it up and buy the one ticket I found that was just over $500. I really want to have the New Year together with Ewen, so we shall do what we need to do. :)
