Okay peeps... time for you all to post recommendations for the best goddamn music to listen to while driving! It could be something that gets your adrenaline (and accelerator?) pumping or maybe something quieter for night-time driving.

Here are 2 cassettes (90 min) I made for my car. No... I don't have a CD player in my car. :slant:

Somehow I was able to fit more into that 2nd tape.

i've got 3 bruce springsteen mix tapes that get re-tracklisted each summer (they're on version #3 now). those are my favorite thing to listen to while driving.

or riding as the case may be, since i still don't have my license. and i'm well over 16.

I didn't get my license till I was 24.

Radar Love by Golden Earring may be a bit of a cliche, but it's a great driving song.

Get Down Moses by Joe Strummer
Subterranean Homesick Alien by Radiohead (Ok almost all of OK Computer then)
Discotheque by some damn group usually makes me have to keep one eye on the rearview

what about Steppenwolf - Born To Be Wild...

Aha, at last someone posts a 'list'!

Cmon people, I'm sure you would have made at least one CD compilation for your car sometime. Or you could just comment on mine if you like.

The Who-Goin' Mobile
U2-Daddy's Gonna Pay For Your Crashed Car
Queen-Bohemian Rhapsody
Rolling Stones-Jumpin' Jack Flash
Lynard Skynard-Free Bird
Lenny Kravitz-Are You Gonna Go My Way

Steve Miller Band-Take The Money And Run
The Who-I'm Free
Led Zeppelin-Kashmir
U2-Elevation

I might make a playlist of this on my iPod to drive to. :hmm:

I made several cd car mixes which I use. Right now they are all The Church songs. I have one early Church, a couple mid period Church, and a couple recent Church. (yep, I really am obsessed  )

I do have to be careful though about my song choices, as I was listening to one of their cds while driving and kept spacing out and nearly drove off the road. So I'm probably not the best choice for picking driving music.
