This is probably one of the top 5 albums of the year so far, a lovely folk/pop record that's filled with energy, strong instrumentation, and whole a lot of heart. The record is certainly derivative, yet strangely original. It has the weirdness of Animal Collective, the beautiful folk melody of Nick Drake, the acoustic guitar/brass/noise combo of Neutral Milk Hotel, and a couple of songs scream Magnetic Fields to me. Great record though, in spite of the obvious influences.

That Cujo/Pinball Wizard character likes this album as well. I can't remember what song(s) I've heard, but I liked it/them.

I say good, not great. Definitely too long, but just as definitely a strong debut. Hoody hoo.
