the commitments

you all might have know this, but.......

The kid on the skateboard who appears outside Andrew Strong's window during the first third of the movie when the band are recruiting members is the (now grown up) boy from the covers of U2's "Boy" (1980) and "War" (1983) albums. At the time The Commitments was filmed, he owned a skate shop in Dublin and was a champion skateboarder.

The Commitments kicks arse!

"I betcha U2 are shittin' themselves."

Also, I believe Andrea Corr plays one of Jimmy Rabbitte's sisters.

I've never seen this one all the way through & I kick myself constantly for it!!

I keep trolling the video stores for a copy to purchase while checking my satellite programming guide for the next time it'll air... eventually, I will see this flick from credits to credits!
