No kidding (I don't understand this whole backlash some people in this world have against pop music to begin with. Not all of it is that bad, there's lots of intelligent pop groups around, and yes, even some of the "teenybopper" stuff can be good once in a while, too, if for no other reason, to escape and just get away from all the crappy things that happen in the world for a while).
Heh, my dad's told me the story about the night he saw the Beatles on Ed Sullivan's show. His dad was sitting in the kitchen, heard the Beatles on TV, and said, "Bah, they're just another fad. They'll be forgotten about in a week or two."
