I don't own a single pink item of clothing, just the stick figures make for a cool shirt, along with the infamous tele and "ignore alien orders".

Alright sorry for the hijacking, now back to the topic.

I had to do some birthday shopping for a good friend, but of course I couldn't control myself either. So I got:

David Bowie - Low (her birthday present, but I have to admit I don't have this one either :reject: so the record is being ripped as I write this post)
Franz Ferdinand - You Could Have It So Much Better (with bonus DVD)
The Prodigy - Their Law: The Singles 1990 - 2005
And a whole bunch of CD-singles/samplers that were cheap but also included some singles for said friend:
Spookrijders - Klokkeluiders
The Brand New Heavies - Sometimes
Junkie XL - Catch Up To My Step
V/A - Music Mania Summer Sampler Volume 4
and for her:
Jasper Steverlinck - Life On Mars
Antony Kamerling - Feel
Hero en de Hero's - I already forgot the name, but it's bad but youth nostalgia for her. :)

And oh, I also bought that magazine Uncut with the Born To Run special. with it came a sampler Thunder Road: Tracks Inspired By The Boss.

:reject:

broken social scene
caribou - got this one a little while ago after having it downloaded for some time.

caribou is coming to edmonton in december

I just bought Lou Barlow "emoh" (kinda meh)

and My Morning Jacket "z" (haven't listened yet)

Just ordered:

Lightbulb Sun
Stupid Dream

both by Porcupine Tree

and Gilt Trip; Gilt Trip -- Egyptian Register; Big Spaceship -- Dream On; and The Beangrowers -- Dance Dance Baby all arrived today. I'm a happy camper!

this was a good weekend (i finally got to a town with a record store [walmart sucks]) and i got some good stuff:

motion city soundtrack-commit this to memory
franz ferdinand-you could have it so much better
my morning jacket-z (i nominate "what a wonderful man" for song of the year!)
spoon-gimme fiction

I hit gold on used CDs once again! :D

Ray LaMontagne - Trouble
Green Day - American Idiot
I Am Kloot - Gods And Monsters

I also got Brendan Benson's single for "Spit It Out". Even better, while the Ray LaMontagne disc was sold as used...it was still in the original packaging, so it was like buying it new for a lot less. :D

A thank ya to everybody here who has said good things about I Am Kloot...I hadn't heard any of their stuff but bought it just because I remembered people here raving about them. I love the whole disc.

Pink Floyd - Dark Side Of The Moon
Pink Floyd - A Saucerful Of Secrets
Pink Floyd - Relics
Pink Floyd - The Final Cut
Ultravox - The Collection (import)
Ultravox and Midge Ure - The Best Of
Spandau Ballet - The Collection II

(this was about a week ago, but whatever)
