Best team ever? I think so.

Folks, I'd like you to gaze upon the face of God Himself in a hockey uniform, Mr. Dion Phaneuf, destined to be one of the greatest defensemen ever.

oh, and one last thing...

GO CANADA GO!!!

Canada, of course! They've put together an amazing team this year.

(By the way, your Calvin avatar is cool.)

Where's Australia on this list?

Oh, that's right, we play real hockey.....

Sorry Dave - only joking:wink:

(But we are good, Australia's men's team are current Olympic Champions and the women have three gold medals ......)

i'm going to the germany game today!

very excited. wish i had tickets to the gold medal game too, but i might get free ones yet for that as well.

ah the joys of my new job.

remember when usa won last year?

i do

And just think, you'll have wonderful new memories this year of the Canadians triumphing over the Yanks!

The guys are playing fantastically. I've never seen Sidney Crosby playing before (the horror) and it has been a pleasure watching him, so far. This guy is going to be incredible when he plays in the NHL. Phaneuf is great too.

Yes, and by the Czechs 3 - 1 (the last goal was an empty netter). They are having trouble with the slow ice at the Ralph and there also seems to be problems with getting the right chemistry on the lines. They looked better against the Czechs than they did against Belearus, but the team is not coming together like they should with all the talent they have. Goaltending has also been an issue, but Montoya seemed better last night.

can't believe I just found this thread now

what an incredible team Canada put together this year, too bad most of the guys will be too old next year... hopefully Gilbert Brule makes it though

Phaneuf was incredible

My favourite part of the entire thing - DOUBLE DION!

That was an awesome game from an awesome team. Congrats, Canada!
