this walking with a ghost song is so incredibly catchy, it should be heard by everyone 20 times a day.

Showers pounding out a new beat
I trade my old shoes for new feet
I grab a new seat
I don't like the one I got
The fabric's wearing through
And it's wearing me out
You're wearing me down

Watching old baseball games
And low budget telethons
Ain't like watching you yourself
When you yourself is on
Got time to wander to waste and to whine
But when it comes to you,
It seems like I just can't find the time

So watch your head and then watch the ground
It's a silly time to learn to swim when you start to drown
It's a silly time to learn to swim on the way down

If I gave you my number
Would it still be the same
If I saved you from drowning?
Promise me you'll never go away
Promise me you'll always stay

Closed down the last local zoo
I'm gonna win the endless war
Over who kills the last koala bear
And who in death will love him more and I
He grabs me by the hand
Drags me to the shore and says
Maybe you don't love me
But you'll grow to love me even more

And I well I'm not surprised

If I gave you my number
Would it still be the same
If I saved you from drowning?
Promise me you'll never go away
Promise me you'll always stay

Showers pounding out a new beat
I trade my old shoes for new feet
I grab a new seat
I don't like the one I got
The fabric's wearing through

You're wearing me down

Would it still be the same

Hmmm... I used to love them, but didn't like too much off their last album (If It Was You). Maybe I'll give some of their new stuff a listen. :hmm:

Hmmm, I've heard of them for some time but never gave them a listen, I recently stumbled on [youtube] on their sweet cover of Springsteen's Dancing in the Dark and liked what I heard.
What cd should I pick up first?
what are some good songs of theirs?

Thanks,
-jazmin

Looking back on my post from two years ago :)wink:), I've changed my mind about Tegan And Sara yet again. Their latest album, So Jealous, is their greatest, in my opinion. Everything sounds really polished and they've really shown progress over the years. Some stand-out songs for me are "Walking With A Ghost", "Take Me Anywhere", and "Wake Up Exhausted".

As for their back catalogue - well, I still haven't listened to If It Was You, but maybe I'll give it a chance one of these days. The first track of theirs that hooked me though, was (surprisingly) "The First" - a simple little ditty from This Business Of Art.

I only have 'So Jealous,' but I highly recommend it.

My favorite tracks on there are "So Jealous," "We Didn't Do It," and "I Can't Take It." If you get the album, I hope you like it! :)

Wow - a thread dedicated to T&S?! Very cool!

I've been to a ton of their concerts and have met them a few times. Super cool people, and their shows were always hilarious. The last time I saw them in concert was right after So Jealous came out. We had some interesting experiences at those shows, and I'm just not as into them any more.

That being said, their CD's are awesome, and I've been a fan of them since the very beginning. My favourite CD is This Business of Art. The songs all have really great memories attached to them, and totally rock.

It's great to see that their fanbase has been expanding and becoming more worldwide instead of just the West Coast in the last couple of years.

JessicaAnn - My Number is by far my favourite song of theirs!
