Should I be ashamed that I only know 2 of these songs, and 1 of them is Bob Marley's?:reject:

Buy Forty Licks and you get 4 classics played yesterday (plus 33 other classics from over the years and 3 OK new songs).
Then, buy The Best Of Otis Redding, because it's also :shame: for not knowing his song (plus you'd probably get Respect, his version of Satisfaction, The Dock Of The Bay, Hard To Handle and some more classics).

I know Dock of the bay...

I have 40 Licks in my shop all the time, but I only really like:-

Miss You
Sympathy for the devil
Ruby Tuesday
Paint it black
and of course, Start me up!

Only 14 songs?

I certainly hope it was a free show or something. I'm assuming it was, since it was a "surprise."

It was only $10 CDN for the show, which was just a warmup for the tour. That's why it was so short.

Although I am curious to see how long they will be able to play when they hit Fenway...

For Otis Redding, get this:

http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/t...103-9239134-3586213?v=glance&s=music&n=507846

55 Tracks. All amazing Extensive liner notes. Really good sound. $28. There's a bigger 4 cd box for $60, but this one is really good.

Otis is the best singer in rock history. No doubt.

Gimme Shelter is one of the all time great songs IMO.

I love it on the Four Flicks DVD.
