Death Cab is playing at Dickinson College in Carlisle on Friday. Not sure if tix are still available, but I might be able to come across an extra one. Let me know if you decide not to go to Philly.

Has anyone heard this CD? I just heard 'Ageless Beauty' and I love it!!!
I know that Stars and Broken Social Scene share some of the same members, but I haven't heard much else about them.
Should I buy the CD? This song is gorgeous!

Honestly, they are in my top 5 fav. bands right now, along with Sufjan Stevens. U2 are at the top, but I am not listening to them a lot at the moment. I go through U2 listening phases.

I've really gotten into Stars. I think I like Heart more than Set Yourself On Fire, though (although both are excellent).

The show was absolutely amazing

I'm so impressed by them live. It wasn't what I was expecting in a way... The music is so much harder live and the girl just kicks ass.

The opening act (The Elected) was also terrific.

I haven't picked up Nightsongs yet. How would you compare it to the other two?

well, they definitely found their sound with heart and set yourself on fire, nightsongs is decidedly less polished.

but there are some really great tracks on there: on peak hill (the most stars-ish song on there), going going gone, the very thing, better than heaven, toxic holiday, tonight, even a cover of this charming man.

it's well worth checking out.
