Anybody who says the Superthread isn't educational is a liar. Today I've learnt there's such a thing as an archery butt.
Teehee, archery.

Oh, and you mentioned referencing systems during your postwhoring.
Give me footnotes, preferably Chicago style, or give me death. In-text referencing is literally the devil. Literally. The. Devil.

It's one of the reasons why science journal articles are fucking unreadable.
Lucky I got out of political science when I did. The department I studied in accepted both footnotes and in-text when I was a student, but now only accepts in-text. And, of course, the majority of political science journals (at least those without a history slant) go with in-text. History is impossible to do without footnotes. If a referencing style is so inflexible or clunky that a whole discipline cannot use it, that's proof it's junk.

Scientific papers are actually becoming more and more unreadable for the last 100 years. I read it in Science or Nature

Low iron levels and some other blood count things. I was expecting to be in and out last night but they decided to do an iron transfusion because I was already there....and they want to repeat it today to ensure things are trending better.
I'd been home from Northland for 10 minutes! |
