Snow Patrol's Run is one of the greatest songs on the new century

Folks if you do not think this is as good as -
Coldplay's Clocks
or
U2's Streets Have No Name,
I cannot help you.

db9

I'll sing it one last time for you
Then we really have to go
You've been the only thing that's right
In all I've done

And I can barely look at you
But every single time I do
I know we'll make it anywhere
Away from here

Light up, light up
As if you have a choice
Even if you cannot hear my voice
I'll be right beside you dear

Louder louder
And we'll run for our lives
I can hardly speak I understand
Why you can't raise your voice to say

To think I might not see those eyes
Makes it so hard not to cry
And as we say our long goodbye
I nearly do

Light up...

Slower slower
We don't have time for that
All I want is to find an easier way
To get out of our little heads

Have heart my dear
We're bound to be afraid
Even if it's just for a few days
Making up for all this mess

If you want a little taste go here:

Find Run by Snow Patrol and download it.

Great, yes.

As good as Streets or Clocks, I personally dont find it THAT good. Still, good none the less.

It does pass the 'goosebump' test.

if u do not get the chills, have your hair stand on ends while listening to this, than either you are-
a corpse or a cadaver living in a musically removed remote cave in outer Siberia

I don't mind this song, either. It's a very different song-kinda pretty-sounding, and I get some interesting images in my head whenever I hear it.

'Run' is tops. Better than Clocks, not quite as good as Streets, but then for me nothing is. Definatly one of my favourite songs from the last 2-3 years.

agree, Run is brilliant (not as good as streets), but a great tune. Also Like "how to be dead", but most of the rest hasnt really grown on me yet. Will Keep trying.

It grew on me as a whole recently, I liked Run, Final Straw (I can't bring myself to call it Chocolate), Spitting Games and How To Be Dead, but I've now got a good understanding of the first 9 songs straight and I'm working on the rest.

Run is my favorite non-U2 track from last year -- it's better than anything Coldplay's ever done in my opinion, and I like Coldplay alot. The mood of the song and the music and they lyrics all fit together to make an epic song. It's subject matter reminds me of a more hopeful and grand Last Kiss. Thank you for making this thread!!!
