I have like 15 or 16 days to use still. :shh:

I have, like, 40 sick days left. I used two when my cat died - that's all the sick days I've used this year, I think, and they've been accumulating for a while now.

I don't get the thread title but that should come as no surprise to anyone.

you must really love your job...

it's probably for the better that you don't get the title.

VP's at my company don't get sick days, per se. Technically, they are unlimited, as well as our vacation time, but, it's understood that you don't abuse the situation.

I have zero problem calling in sick if necessary.

I do love my job but the problem is I just haven't been sick in 3 years and I'm not a very good liar. But when I'm sick, I'm really sick. I had to have surgery 3 years ago and had to take a 3-month leave so I was really glad I had accumulated a lot of sick days although my employer is so amazing it wouldn't have mattered - they'd have just given me the time anyway. I actually love coming to work everyday. I have a fun job and I get to do it with fun people and 6 dogs that come to work almost every day.

If I were a VP I'd walk around with the Rule Book and a sharpie and just change things at my whim. Like, "Hey, no coffee with skim milk in the breakroom?" "But...there's no rule against that?" "Oh, let's see - ah, right here, page 9 - in Sharpie. See it?" "But that's not - " "ARE YOU QUESTIONING ME, PEASANT?"

You can't even spell VP.

I'm going to enjoy the shit out of my last weeks as a VP, though, this I can tell you. I might actually enact the above scenario.

So as it turns OUT, u2popmofo and I are on the SAME flight to Atlanta, Germany CHICAGO.

What are the ODDS? ESPECIALLY with this RECESSION!?!?

That thread gives me the warm fuzzies

Diemen, that's hilarious. I almost ended up on the same flight to Vegas as Sicy, but then I decided to pay a little more for a direct flight.

HA!

We accrue sick pay here, up to 520 hours. We can carry it over from year to year, unlike vacation, which is use or lose.

It's not very often that I call in sick. But my department is very conscious of the "don't spread your plague" idea, so they encourage us to use sick days if we're sick and not come in and make everyone else sick.

Did you do that to mock poor people? Nicely done. lol. Poor people. lol.

Plus Sicy is probably start some shit mid flight and get the plane turned around anyway. You know how she is....

Yeah, I'm totally flaunting that extra $25 I spent. /rich bitch

Are you kidding? It'll be the opposite - Sicy's totally going to throw any troublemakers off the plane herself, mid flight.

I have it the opposite way at work. Sick time we lose at the end of the year, but vacation carries over. If I was able to actually get the time off from work, I could take almost 2 months paid vacation right now.

Though I am already planning to take a nice 2-3 week vacation next summer in Europe. :hyper:

Diemen, I'll be the guy getting escorted off the plain for blasting 'Big Girls Are Best' on a boombox.

Apparently - I just saw a mention of those videos on another site, and the discussion went on to talk about the box set.
