Isn?t it time to start calling it SHL instead of NHL the swedes are dominating the league anyway!

Well the Swedish talent is pretty deep with guys like:

Peter Forsberg
Markus Naslund
Mats Sundin
Nik Lidstrom
The Sedin Twins
Tommy Salo
etc...

... and Sweden definitely owned the league this year...
but the NHL is too diverse to label it by any particular country. A few years back you could have called it the CzHL, with Czechs like Hasek and Jagr at the top of the league. Or last year could have been the CHL, with Canadians winning just about every significant award other than the Conn Smythe (what do you know, went to a Swede)...

As long as Canada maintains half of the leagues talent, I don't see the name changing any time soon... but go Sweden anyway.
