I actually saw my second full Bond movie (after Casino Royale) a few weeks ago. It was the one with Pierce Brosnan and Halle Berry. It contained some of the most appalling special effects I've ever seen, and Bond should have died hundreds of times (though I guess that's true for all them). Plan on seeing Skyfall but it probably won't happen.

Can't remember the first Bond I ever saw, but Goldeneye was the first 'new' one that I saw. I'll always have a soft spot for Brosnan's portayal, although I try to forget Die Another Day happened.

I've recently rewatched the Bond films with Daniel Craig. Casino Royal is awesome but Quantum of Solace is pretty bad. That's one dumb action movie.

Starting to admit to myself that I'm a Burial fanboy. I don't know a hell of a lot about the London dubstep scene, but Burial's music is the coolest shit in the world. It takes you somewhere awful yet you nod along for every second of the trip. The way he uses vinyl creates an organically terrifying atmosphere every time. It's really foggy out and I listened to the Street Halo/Kindred EPs while running some morning errands. Turned out to be a great choice.

Have a safe trip home mofo, it should be good driving weather this year for the holiday weekend.

Thanks, bro. Anything should be better than the insane weather we had here a week ago. I don't care for blizzards in November.

I have no idea who the owl people are.

Postal Service copy-ifiers.

Feel like I must have listened to Distant Lights a thousand times in 2006.

Morning everyone. It's clean out your desk day at work. Starting my new job on Monday.

So you'll be cleaning your desk out again on Tuesday? Heyo! Jk, bro. Jk. Good lucks.

House That Heaven Built is still fantastic.

If you put those two EPs together as an album, you have one of the best of the year. Kindred alone would probably land in my top three.

That reminds me. Safe to assume this is a different Burial?

I love Bond. The first Bond film I ever saw was From Russia With Love, and it's still my favourite. Sean Connery is my favourite Bond but Pierce Brosnin is a handsome actor. The Franchise went down hill in the late 70's and 80's but I did like Goldeneye (Bono and The Edge wrote the theme tune to that for Tina Turner. That's a good song). My favourite of the post 80's films was The World Is Not Enough, it has a stellar cast, although I did like Tomorrow Never Dies and the theme song with Sheryl Crowe. The only films I haven't seen are Dr No and all of Daniel Craig's movies.

I don't fancy Daniel Craig.

Congrats :applaud:. Wishiing you luck for Monday :)

Starting your work day with Abbey Road is a good way to start your work day. I'm thankful I have a job where I can just put on headphones and get to work!

So to those who have participated in Desert Island in the past, is that pretty much dead or are we planning to do another one at some point? Seems like it's been a couple years since we did the last one.

Have any of you had the experience of working a short week and every 8 hour day feels especially long thanks to the anticipation of the 4 day weekend? Today is just gruelling.
