Guess what my mom found at a garage sale in Wisconsin yesterday ?? :hmm:

Yes, you figured correctly if you said The Outfield's 'Play Deep' album !!
And yes, I said ALBUM !!

It's in perfect condition too ... only cost my mom $2.25

Guess who's really unbelievably happy that it was found ...
and truthfully, it's about time ... :applaud:

Oh, really? Awesome  :).

Heh, know what I'd done recently? I'd managed to find all the songs off that CD on Limewire, and I was going to burn them on a CD for you. But looks like I won't need to do that now.

Glad that you finally found the CD. Enjoy hearing those songs again, crank 'em up and all that good stuff :D.

Already done that about 10 times ... :giggle:

I'm finishing up recording these songs as I type ...

Can't wait to get the CD in the car ... :hyper:

I can see ... I've really "missed" this band !!

So glad I found them all over again ... :applaud:

Thanks
I'm gonna "cherish" this album now ... since it's in GREAT shape.
I'm actually surprised ... I mean, how many times do you go to a garage sale and buy an album that is like new ... with no scratches, skips or warps on that album to begin with ??
Normally, this doesn't happen as most garage sales sell junk or stuff that they just want to get rid of ... no matter what condition the item is in ...
Again, I'm just so-ooo amazed and happy overall !!

Horse Of Course
Magic Twinkie
Elbert D & The Dancing Bears
Fred Schwartz
Oldenwilde

Besides my brand new "The Outfield" album which was found at a garage sale ... :applaud:
I'd also have to add another GREAT 80's band as well ... A-Ha.
I've had the album "Hunting High And Low" since it came out back in the mid 80's and I must say that this band is total CLASSIC 80's ... absolutely love their songs and this hit album too !!

Ryan Adams.

I was never really that fussed on him until someone bought me his Gold album. I regret not giving him a chance before.

Crankin' up the stereo and listening to Journey.
A GREAT 70's and 80's band that shouldn't have fired their original vocalist Steve Perry.
Afterall, Steve was the one who MADE that band successful in the first place ...
That voice of his ... AWESOME totally perfect !! :applaud:
What were Neal Schon and Jonathan Cain thinking when they replaced him ?? :shame:

If you don't like this thread, I will fight you. That's no lie.

-The National - 'Alligator' album (and all the other songs by them I've heard)

-VNV Nation - 'Standing'. Saw a video of this song live on youtube and have been hooked since. Not sure why I didn't get into it long ago.

-The Knife - 'Silent Shout' album. Interesting stuff, I'm enjoying it.

-Gnarls Barkely - 'St. Elsewhere' album. Loved Cee-Lo Green (he's a soul machine!) for a while now. Fun album.

-The Faint - 'Danse Macabre' album. Wish I would have picked this up ages ago. Gothy, dancy, computerized robot voices, what's not to like?! Fun stuff.

-The Stone Roses. I've had their debut for years, but really seemed to get into it this winter/spring. Just picked up Second Coming, and have been enjoying it also.

-AFI - 'Miss Murder'. I've listened to the crappy radio rip I have of this song a ridiculous amount of times. Looking forward to the album.

Armin Van Buuren - Control Freak (Sander Van Doorn Remix)

AFI - Miss Murder

 for both those songs and this thread.

The Killers--Hot Fuss, which hasn't left my 5-disc changer in months

Wilco

Arcade Fire--Rebellion

Talking Heads--This Must Be the Place (Naive Melody)

Rocko & the Devils--Road Rage (hey, it's a catchy tune  And it's somehow become the most played song in my iTunes)

The Frames
Hothouse Flowers

...and bootlegs from the JT-tour!

:)

Jack Frost

"It's funny how someone you've never met manages to stay with you."

Yeah Grant, it is.
